Welcome Students

If you have clicked on a Facebook flyer, feel welcomed. We are glad you are reading this. If you followed a link to get to this blog then you probably don't know about Get Closer (The Blog) or Get Closer (The Bible Study) and you are probably curious. If so, here is some information. Get Closer is the college bible study for Parkway Student Ministry. We meet at 7:30 on Thursdays. We use Get Closer (The Blog) to keep folks informed about what is happeneing from week to week at the bible study and discuss what we talk about at the bible study. Of course, you can also see our website for more information about who we are and some other things we do. We also have a worship gathering on Sunday beginning at 6:00 pm called The Well. We call it our next generation worship because the music rocks your socks off, really many people wear flip flops to avoid the hastle. So, take some time and look around our blog, see what we have been up to for the last few months, see our website, and feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions.

Oh, by the way, if you want to come Thursday we would love to have you. We will meet at Parkway Baptist Church (click for a map) at 7:30 pm in our worship center.

Get Closer Takes A Break

Hey, we are gonna take a break. No Get Closer for the next two weeks, August 16 and 23. We will start back on the 30th. Check back to see where, school will start that week.

Check Out What Kathy Wrote

Hey college guys! The McLaughlins are inviting you to a back to school and/or going to Ecuador party on Saturday, August 19, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This will be at the Gregory's new pool. Free food will be given to all who respond to Kathy by email or phone.
AND, if you want to have the Wednesday night thing at our place sometime, I won't hang up on you:)

I called Misty to ask if we could go to her house again this week. At some point before she hung up on me she said it was ok. We will meet, we will make it an order of business to figure out where we will go for the next month or so.
